After a long courtship by several major labels, Washington Heights, NYC rapper MIMS has officially signed with EMI Capitol Records.

Over the past few months MIMS has caused quite a nationwide stir with his independently released, radio blazing single "This is Why I'm Hot." Currently, at the height of fourth quarter "This is Why I'm Hot" is generating one thousand spins per week and a nationwide radio listening audience of over 59 million.

Reggae legend Junior Reid and artist Cham recently joined MIMS on the remix of "This is Why I'm Hot," which has quickly become a highly requested radio and club banger.

MIMS is nearing completion of his debut album "Music Is My Savior" which is scheduled for an early 2007 release.
