I wasn't even gonna post this, but after watching it, I felt compelled. I first saw it at Juicy News, and I gotta tell you, the stuff is just not all the way together in the House of Dereon camp. First of all, why stop an interview just because you don't like the question? At the level that Beyonce has risen to, they should know that everything that comes at them is not gonna be positive. You should be prepared for whatever. And this isn't the first time I've seen Tina get all defensive. Where are their handlers? Do they even have a PR person? Because to me, when people witness defensive type behavior like this, people are going to naturally assume the worst. The interview felt real "amateur-ish" and Beyonce seems really "plastic" and too "rehearsed", like a performer and not a real person. And they should be waaaaay past bumbling through an interview this way, but you read it then watch it, and let me know what you think... The headline says that Beyonce cut off the interview, but it was really Tina... Beyonce just sat there like some kind of clueless wind up doll, and if I sound harsh, I'm just getting real tired of seeing them exhibit this same behavior over and over, so if you don't see it that way, I certainly welcome your point of view... read more »

"Nick Cannon Presents Wild 'N Out" will continue to feature two teams of hot, up-and-coming comics who go head-to-head in a series of "improv battles." Coming up on tomorrow's show(9/21), the beautiful and seductive Hoopz (winner of VH1's The Flavor of Love) will take to the stage as the special invited guest, while rapper E-40 will make a attempt to steer his team to victory acting on as team captain. E-40 will also perform the hit, "Tell Me When To Go". The show combines the best elements of classic comedy series - hilarious improv, topical sketch comedy, and performances from fledgling comedians eager to make their mark in the genre - with an urban feel that Cannon's fans have come to expect from his film and TV projects. Some celebrities featured in the new season will include: Big Boi from Outkast, Fat Joe, Lil Jon, Method Man, Jamie Kennedy, Pharrell and more. read more » Due to GENTRIFYING DEVILS, I- city girl number ONE, now live in a suburb. For real, y'all. Once again, Black (and Brown) people have sat back and let the white man come and take what he wanted and leave us with the scraps. Some of us were honestly powerless, some were railroaded and bamboozled, others didn't give enough of a fuck to do anything about it. I wish I had done....something. What, I don't know, but something. I was in high school when gentrification phenomenon became crazy obivious to me in my hometown (Chicago). As my neighborhood was racially and economically mixed (on some gangbangers meet college deans meet back of the house restauraunt staff meet Louis Farrahkhan type stuff- LOVE IT!), the effect there wasn't as profound. Although some apartments went condo leaving some of the lower-income peeps out cold. When I came to DC in 2002, I could tell that the neighborhood surrounding Howard was hood, but slowly changing. When I moved in to a dorm that was in a more residential area of the neighborhood (2003), it seemed like I saw new white people moving in every day. read more »

Some of my fave looks from Anna Sui. She has an ecclectic, bohemian, rock & roll style that I like. Love what she can do with a doll dress, and love that I can sometimes find her stuff at T.J. Maxx! That 1st printed off-the-shoulder number is me ALL DAY! {Click pics for a better view} read more »
