Although T-Pain is my guilty pleasure, I can’t stand his ass sometimes, but I’m sure he ain’t even studying folks as long as he has his “Tallahassee Love.” He’s like a cockroach, no matter how much you spray- where the bottle ’bout much empty- ’til you gotta get the HOOVER for that bitch! There is no denying his talents so let me stop talkin’ greasy for he take my behind to “Church.” Anyway the album is very mellow at first, T-Pain’s voice is very bland to me for so reason, it’s also a album you can throw in the whip. On this album though, I think this is the serious I’ve ever seen him. He talks a little about his girl having HIV/ AIDS, which is a sexually transmitted disease, I’m like, “wow! That’s deep…” I don’t know if this is from real life experiences but it definitely defines epiphany I’ll say! It’s some smooth lounge-ish tracks and a couple upbeat joints as well. The album features the likes of Konvict Muzik label mate Akon, Shawnna, Teddy Verseti and others. Overall the album was pretty “decent” you could actually say, I can’t say anything bad about it, it’s a lot of revelations you can get from it; like the title says Epiphany… speaks for itself. Towards the end, “Reggae Night,” Best Line Ever: “Girl I cannot believe you got me comin’ out here on a Reggae Night, ’shit you need to get out tha house.’ She-it I hope ya gotcha purse, ya gotcha knife? ‘HELL YEAH! These Jamaicans crazy…’” and “Shottas” the album starts to get a little hilarious and fun then kinda jumps to mid-tempo with “Right Hand”; “Sounds Bad,” I like these tracks a lot, it’s one of those songs you relate to (I’m sure all the men). So, with that being said- June 5th, I would definitely recommend this album for a good buy. PS. Don’t judge a book by its cover :) read more »

The entire Las Vegas cast is doing a Reunion season now and it kicked off this week on MTV. This was one of the best season's of Real World...pre-whackness..and I, for one, am happy about the reunion. I admit it. I'll be watching.

Have you been wondering what happen to Teairra Marí? Well, not to fret, I have too! Looks like former “Princess of the Roc” is back with her new upcoming project, Second Round, slated to be released this summer with “Missing You” being a possible single. I’m so excited! I have to admit, although I was a tad bit skeptical at the peak of her debut and thought- “ah hell! Here goes another ‘One Hit Maker’ before my eyes,” I bought her CD and it was actually good to my surprise, a little too explicit for a dag 17 year old (!) but it was what it was, so I take back any informalities. On that note, I can’t wait for the new album :) read more »

Yay! New music from Kelly Rowland, “Work” (Put It In), hmmm… @ the title  Anywho, the record was co-written by non other then Ms. Kelly herself and produced by Scott Storch; features Fat Joe. This was actually suppose to be the second single from Kelly Rowland’s sophomore LP, Ms. Kelly, but she decided to go with “Ghetto” featuring Snoop Dogg. Well, I think I like “Work” (Put It In) a little better, it’s a fast upbeat track, it’ll go well in the clubs and the minute I heard her sexy voice and rapid hook going with that beat- it was official- hell, I was HOOKED! :in my best Fat Joe voice: Hehehehe.. read more »

Above is the official album cover for T.I.’s upcoming LP T.I. VS T.I.P. set to drop July 3rd! Hmm… it definitely makes a statement- I get, okay, I’m guessing it has to do with his alter ego/ upbringing (T.I.P.) and his business persona (T.I.). I’m feelin’ it a lot, I get a lot from this album and the joints I’ve heard so far! I think this album is going to be off rip, it’s going to be interesting to see how this whole thing plays out. Ah yes, I forgot, you can download the album sampler HERE peeps! read more »
Below are just a few of the sites I visit from time to time, as well as articles that I think are worthy of Black women’s attention. As I browsed the internet today and yesterday I could not help but notice the amount of anguish many sistas seem to be feeling simply because a stranger, Reggie Bush, had chosen to take up with a woman who was not of his ethnicity (Kim Kardashian). Black Female Interracial Marriage is a blog I visit quite often because I believe the owner truly has a love for her sistas and wants to see them happy, content and fulfilled. Sometimes that fulfillment may come from a man who looks like you- but sometimes it wont. Date A White Guy is another blog I visit on occasion, and again, I believe the owner posts a lot of information that Black women need to hear. I post these links sistas not to persuade you to date outside your race or look for love in places you may not ordinarily have thought to, but rather to let you know that you too have what Reggie Bush and so many other Black men- options.
