Although T-Pain is my guilty pleasure, I can’t stand his ass sometimes, but I’m sure he ain’t even studying folks as long as he has his “Tallahassee Love.” He’s like a cockroach, no matter how much you spray- where the bottle ’bout much empty- ’til you gotta get the HOOVER for that bitch! There is no denying his talents so let me stop talkin’ greasy for he take my behind to “Church.” Anyway the album is very mellow at first, T-Pain’s voice is very bland to me for so reason, it’s also a album you can throw in the whip. On this album though, I think this is the serious I’ve ever seen him. He talks a little about his girl having HIV/ AIDS, which is a sexually transmitted disease, I’m like, “wow! That’s deep…” I don’t know if this is from real life experiences but it definitely defines epiphany I’ll say! It’s some smooth lounge-ish tracks and a couple upbeat joints as well. The album features the likes of Konvict Muzik label mate Akon, Shawnna, Teddy Verseti and others. Overall the album was pretty “decent” you could actually say, I can’t say anything bad about it, it’s a lot of revelations you can get from it; like the title says Epiphany… speaks for itself. Towards the end, “Reggae Night,” Best Line Ever: “Girl I cannot believe you got me comin’ out here on a Reggae Night, ’shit you need to get out tha house.’ She-it I hope ya gotcha purse, ya gotcha knife? ‘HELL YEAH! These Jamaicans crazy…’” and “Shottas” the album starts to get a little hilarious and fun then kinda jumps to mid-tempo with “Right Hand”; “Sounds Bad,” I like these tracks a lot, it’s one of those songs you relate to (I’m sure all the men). So, with that being said- June 5th, I would definitely recommend this album for a good buy. PS. Don’t judge a book by its cover :) read more »

Wheeew, I am so late with this but, it’s here! And there is just so much to discuss. Let me just start with- THIS ALBUM IS DOPE BUSINESS! But I simply can not post all of the songs so go out June 5th and BUY, BUY, BUY, BUY! Surprisingly good, more than I actually expected, there’s a lot of great up tempo songs including amazing production by Timbaland and Justin Timberlake along with Stargate and others. Of course the album features label mate Ne-Yo, “Hate That I Love You” a stringy guitar version of Ne-Yo’s “So Sick” in my opinion, and was executive produced by Jay-Z. You probably already remember “Shut Up And Drive,” a pop-rock kind of track that’s slated to be Rihanna’s second single lifted from the amancipated album, Good Girl Gone Bad. Overall it’s one of those records you hate at first but you can’t stop listening to it after the 500th time. Lawd knows when I heard “Breakin’ Dishes” and “Sell Me Candy”? Yeah, that drove me up a damn wall, sounded like a constipated cat, but urrrgh yet I keep playing it. I’d say the album deals mostly with love, which isn’t a bad thing, all the elements of love. And don’t think Rihanna has strayed from her Barbadian background either! I’m definitly diggin’ this new “Good Girl/ Bad Girl” image Rihanna has going on, beautiful melodies with assertive lyrics at the same time. A couple dance groves wouldn’t hurt either too! LOL, there’s this one song, “Breakin’ Dishes” that’s hilarious, “Still waiting, ‘come throught the door’! I’m killin’ time, ya know? bleachin’ ya clothes, I’m roastin’ marshmellows on the fiyah and what I’m burnin’? It’s ya attire!” LMAO! Almost kin to Brooke Valentines’ “I Want You Dead” which I looove! By the way, is she sayin’ she gonna BITE a man or FIGHT a man? Lol, I’ve included that particular song in the posting as well :) read more »

Lies for the Liars is The Used’s third studio album. It will be released on May 22nd, 2007 and will include their first single, “The Bird And The Worm,” on it. There will also be a follow up to the album with a currently untitled EP featuring songs that won’t be on the album. Okay, I don’t know what everyone is talking about, hoopla about The Used’s and Linkin Park’s “drastic” genre change, I love both of the albums! Now, with Linkin Park, the album was mostly conceptually based you know? Not like the typical materialistic B.S. on the radio now, same with the video people! But The Used, I am not really a “die-hard” fan like that, I don’t know… All I know is I really liked it, the album rocks hepatitis ass, and The Used is the shit. read more »

I’m just overzealous right now and completely spazin’ out over this album, man I wish I could post the whole album, but I can’t :-( But these few tracks should make you want to go out and buy the album more! Best Maroon 5 album ever, trust me. So BUY, BUY, BUY, BUY (There you can also peep the making of them album, It Won’t Be Soon Before Long, and hear a few more sneak previews.) and support Maroon 5 May 22nd by going out and coping their new LP down at your local record store. These guys are possibly one of my most favorite bands ever, the album is all around wonderful, Adam and the boys did that shit. Below I posted a couple of joints I felt you needed to hear, I had to; all of which are my absolute favorites. read more »

Whew, I know I am kind of late [but actually kind of early with this.] considering the “Cyber Land” community. I also meant to post the video for “What I’ve Done” a long time ago, but I guess I got caught up in the “hype,” and posted what was “in” at the time. How on this earth can I forget about, one of the best bands that I happen to like, Linkin Park! Well anyway, Minutes To Midnight (album cover shown above), the third studio album from the group, is scheduled to be released May 15th 2007 in the United States and will include their first single, “What I’ve Done,” which was released on April 2, 2007 and debuted at number one on the U.S. Modern Rock charts! The album is full of hardcore rock aggression and interesting choice of lyrics in some songs; “What I’ve Done,” “Hands Held High,” “No More Sorrow”…. All my personal favorites by the way. Overall it was a pretty damn good listen (”Given Up” = Kick. Ass. Shit.) *sigh* man, ya’ll really need to listen to rock… After the cut you can watch the video for “What I’ve Done” also, hats off to the director, it captured the whole essence of the song in it’s complete entirety. It touches on some few global issues such as animal cruelty, inhumanity, righteous America (the same America claiming patriotism), war, and current events like uh.. Darfur! Heeelllloooo, wake up people, wake up! Oh, and J recently bought up a request that I found was a great idea, I use to do it but stopped, posting alternate links for new music just in case the original link is down for whatever reason; because I got a lot of request to post some links back up but I could not, sorry. BUT, from now on I will take this into consideration and post a “Mirror,” meaning alternate, link when posting BFF. I deeply apologize for the inconvenience ya’ll. read more »
