It's been an extreeemely slow news day today. I don't even have any "R&B celeb spottings" to post which totally sucks. So, I'm just going to post a bit of tidbits that may interest you:

Brandy may escape prosecution on charges of misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter following a fatal 2006 car accident, if officials decide not to take the singer to court.

Janet Jackson was spotted out in Miami yesterday showing off her svelte new look. I cannot believe she has gone back to looking ultra slim again. I don't want to say she looked like an elephant a few weeks ago but she sure did pile on the pounds when she and her man Jermaine Dupri went jet-skiing. Anyway, here is Janet in all of her fabulous glory:

R&B songstress Brandy is apparently the new face of Ultima Hair and below is a brand new photoshoot of Brandy advertising their products. This isn't news to me though because I posted back in May that she was the new face of Ultimo along with some different pics back then. Each wig comes in five different styles: bohemian, deepcurl, loosedeep, ripplewave and softyaki. If you place your curser over each pic, it will tell you what type of style it is. Allegedly, Brandy was paid $2 million dollars for the endorsement deal which is funny to me because her wigs/weaves always look cheap and tacky. When you look at Brandy, she is not someone who will make you say, "Oh wow, I have to have that hair. It looks soooo good". But then, Brandy has become the queen of yaki for the last couple of years so I guess they considered her suitable:

OK, Brandy’s wig is poppin’ right here. Literally. That shit looks like it’s about to fly off any minute. Not a good look.

R&B star Brandy has signed a deal with Ultima Hair to become the face of the company's latest advertising campaign (click here to read more about Ultima Hair). The above promo pics are great; it's the best I've seen Brandy look in a long while. I'm hoping she's been able to put all the drama behind her, as I'm eagerly anticipating her new CD.
