Chingy's latest video for single 'Gimme Dat' - featuring fellow Disturbing The Peace members Bobby Valentino and Ludacris - premiered a few hours ago. I'm liking both the song and video. Yet with his album 'Hate It Or Love It, which was released little over a month ago, sitting at an abysmal #178 on the Billboard 200 chart, I have a hard time stomaching the song's 'I'm so fly' message.  read more »

The first annual BET Honors event bought out honorees Tyra Banks, Maxine Waters, Dr. Cornel West, Janice Bryant Howroyd, Richard Parsons and Alicia Keys as well as Jill Scott, Keyshia Cole, Kerry Washington, Vivica A Fox, Idris Elba, Hill Harper, Chingy, Brian McKnight, Ne-Yo, Stevie Wonder, Wycelf Jean, and BET President Debra Hill.

Keys accepted her award in a red Naeem Khan dress: "For me, I'm just a girl still from Harlem, and here I am. It's a tremendous feeling to do what you love and for people to love what you do. … People are honoring me for doing what my heart tells me to do, (and that is) so fulfilling."

Rapper Chnigy, along with Amerie, stopped by 'The Tonight Show With Jay Leno' earlier this week to perform their current single 'Fly Like Me'. I liked the performance, although Amerie's vocals seemed kinda strained at times.  read more »
