Soap opera "Y&R"* star Victoria Rowell* held a private launch of her book "The Women Who Raised Me."
*Victoria is best known for her role as Drucilla Winters on CBS's top-rated daytime drama, 'The Young and the Restless.' The character of Drucilla died on the April 4 episode.
R&B Brit import Joss Stone* has admitted her drinking problem:
Soul diva Joss Stone has been drinking alcohol since she was 13, and blames her boozy habit on being British. The pop star, who now resides in America, fears losing her powerful voice but can't resist having a sneaky drink when she is back in her homeland. She says, "I've been drinking beer since I was 13. I'm English! Sometimes I smoke, sometimes I drink. But I don't go on binges. I'm not a genuine bad girl. I don't want to ruin my voice.
"But when I'm home in England, I have a beer and a smoke. Sometimes I even smoke weed." [source]
*Hmm I've always thought her voice was a just a little husky so I now see why that it is that way.
Melanie Brown aka Scary Spice has named Eddie Murphy as her newborn's father on the birth certificate. How does that saying go again? Not the father until proven otherwise. Anyhow Melanie B has pull a Larry Birkhead* on Eddie:
"Former Spice Girl Melanie Brown has reignited her paternity feud with Eddie Murphy after she named the actor on her newborn daughter's birth certificate. The singer, formally known as Scary Spice, gave birth to Fortuna Daphne Bay last week, but she now faces a paternity battle with Murphy, who insists he isn't the tot's father. However, a friend of Brown tells British newspaper the Daily Mirror, "Mel has no doubt Eddie is the father and she wanted to make the point." The couple dated for six months last year until Murphy announced on TV that "we're not together anymore." Last November - a month after Brown announced her pregnancy news - the Dreamgirls actor publicly dismissed her claims of paternity on Dutch TV show RTL Boulevard, saying, "I don't know whose child that is, until it comes out and has a blood test."
