Howdy. Some of my fave bloggers (1969 and La Bella Noire) have recently posted requests for anonomous commenters to introduce themselves. They got some pretty cool response. Well, I don't get too many anonomous comments, but I know from the traffic history that far more people view the blog than those who actually comment. What I actually would like for people to do today in the comment section is 1) give a quick hello, if they feel so inclined and b) if you have a blog, please give us the URL. I know there are a number of other bloggers who read me, and I want to do you guys the same favor and give you a link if I haven't done so already. I'm not as good as I should be at reading other folks blogs and I certainly don't comment as often as I should. So tap me on the shoulder and say "hey, look at me", aiight?  read more »

Hope you enjoy your "holiday". Personally, I would be amused if America got colonized again. I think Great Britain would do a waaaaay better job of running the show. So, back in 1997, Sister Webby (one of my BFs) was super hyped over Chico DeBarge's new album. I ended up following her advice and buying it myself, and it was quite good. I listened to it last night on the way home from the club and did a little reflecting. For one, the album was called Long Time No See. The "long time" would be the six years Chico spent in jail on drug charges.  read more »
