A long clip of the lead single from Jennifer Lopez's upcoming new album has surfaced. Produced by Midi Mafia, 'Hold It, Push It' is the first English -language solo single from Lopez in over three years.

Jennifer Lopez's new single Hold It, Push It leaked last night and it's here! This is the OFFICIAL first single taken from Jennifer's as-yet-titled forthcoming new album (the English one). Yesterday, I read that the song doesn't go for adds until 21st August 2007 but it appears Jennifer is coming a lot sooner than we anticipated:

Two different music events went down over the weekend. First, it was day two of the Essence Music Awards which saw big R&B performers take to the stage and then we had the 24-hour global concert called Live Earth, which has got to be one of the largest music events of the year. More than 150 of the world's top musicians came together for 24 hours of music from 9 concerts across all 7 continents. With an audience of more than 2 billion people, Live Earth used the global reach of music to engage people on a mass scale to combat our climate crisis (global warming). Proceeds from the event were donated to the Alliance for Climate Protection. So first I'm going to concentrate on Live Earth. And my girl Alicia Keys performed in the US part of the concert in New York:

The track Wrong When You're Gone was originated by Keri Hilson. Not only did she write and produce the track but she actually recorded it too. Now the track has been passed onto Jennifer Lopez who has recorded it for her upcoming (English) album. So I've provided BOTH versions back to back, since many of you were asking for Keri's version (if you downloaded Keri's mixtape which I provided yesterday, you'd have heard it already). Well, ya'll know Jennifer Lopez's R&B album is on its way when tracks start leaking and this is one of them. Well, Jen says her album will have a bit of everything - Hip Hop, R&B and pop, and the track (snippet) that has just leaked is very R&B. Following the release of her Spanish album earlier this year, Jennifer Lopez is prepping a new English CD - which is slated to drop in September. 'Wrong When Your Gone', which was written by Timbaland protegee and The Clutch member Keri Hilson, is set to feature on the currently-untitled disc.

Uh-oh, it's on and popping now. The news in Canada is that Canadian R&B singer Keshia Chante has replaced Teairra Mari. Apparently, Keshia has just signed to the ROC, and it was all Foxy Brown's doing! The press release is being put out this Tuesday, so it appears that Rihanna is going to get some competition.

Yesterday night saw celebrities and a VIP set from the fashion industry embark on the revamped and modernized to toast the jeweler to the stars.
