Tameka Foster has won the game no matter what happened…
It has been reported that the on-off (and then on again) wedding between Usher and fiancee Tameka Foster took place this past Friday in the singer's lawyer's office. Usher's mother Jonetta Patton - who is said to be strongly against the couple's union - attended the 'quiet' ceremony.
How long could Eddie Murphy go without "defending" himself whilst Spice Girl Mel B made a media spectacle out of him this week? The press conferences, the tough lawyer, the dinner with his ex-wife Nicole, the Essence interview, need I go on? I guess Eddie thought that Mel really WAS making a dog's dinner out of him and felt the need to do some, er, damage control. Not that anyone cares about what the Beverley Hills C*ck had to say but for those interested, here is his official statement: "Eddie Murphy always has and will continue to honor his responsibilities as a father. Mr. Murphy and Ms. Brown dated very briefly and never made any plans of ANY sort. He acknowledges paternity of the child Angel, and has paid child support to Ms. Brown as well as covering the expenses of her pregnancy. Mr. Murphy views this as a private matter and as such, will not be making any further comments about it."

So let me try and put this together. R&B singer Usher is currently engaged (or no longer engaged) to his stylist Tameka Foster, a woman who divorced her ex-hubby Ryan Glover not too long ago. Then reports were strife when last week it was announced that Spice Girl Mel B is set to marry her new fella, director Stephen Belafonte, a year after she and Eddie Murphy were in talks to get married. Eddie Murphy not wanting to be dethroned decided to get engaged to his current girlfriend Tracey Edmonds. Notice how ONE person in each relationship was married previously:
