If you’ve been on planet earth for the past 2 months, you should know that all everyone has been talking about is “The Showdown!” What’s “The Showdown” you ask?? Kanye West and 50 Cent of course! “Graduation” and “Curtis” both released online and in stores today, so if you haven’t done so already … COP GRADUATION! We all know Kanye West is a spaz, but I still pick him over shitty cent any day. I’m hearing that Kanye West is expected to sell close to (or over) 700,000 units this week, while 50 Cent is only expected to sell 500,000. Either way … that’s a lot of damn albums! Especially in a declining market. But the funny thing about those numbers is that I ALSO hear that Kenny Chesney is expected to cell even more than fiddy! Now THAT would be funny. I’d retire not ’cause I got beat by Kanye, but because I got beat by a Country singer!!! Anyhow, the numbers above are ONLY PREDICTIONS! Don’t be surprised if the real numbers don’t come out anywhere near the ones above. The only real way to know is next Wednesday when the chart results are in.
Sorry about the pause in updates. As some of you who checked out the site last night know, we had to upgrade the server because of our dramatic increase in visitors. If the site goes down tonight, it’s because I am getting the server that this site is hosted on upgraded. We had a major increase in our number of visitors today, which caused the server to crash. MASTER P & ROMEO - HIP HOP HISTORY // IN STORES TODAY!!
Romeo and Master P have a new album out today. HIP HOP HISTORY marks the first album Master P has ever done sans curse words in his rap lyrics! Why? He’s looking to “Take a Stand” - the name of his new record label - and clean up rap lyrics in general. In addition to the album, today marks the release of Romeo’s new book, “Guaranteed Success For Teens.” The title is pretty self explanatory.
Need I say more? For those of you who may not know YOU GAY, the Boondocks is an anime cartoon that revolves around a 10-year-old revolutionary, Huey Freeman, his 8-year-old brother and their legal guardian and grandfather in the suburbs. New episodes of season 2 are set to air later this year on Adult Swim, guess appearances include Katt Williams, Xzibit, Fat Man Scoop and Lil’ Wayne, getchu some!
